“Twitter is like a party where everyone screams,” he wrote in his tweet. “Not much of a party. Goodbye now.”
Videos of her speaking with an accent surfaced on social media, and people claiming to have attended high school with her have posted with her to protest her claim that she came to the US at the age of 19 to attend college.
The lifestyle expert and podcast host sought to explain what she saw as the confusion.
“This is something that I take very seriously, and for those who ask – I will repeat my story, as I have done so many times before,” she said in a video on her Instagram account. “I was born in Boston and grew up spending time with my family between Massachusetts and Spain. My parents and siblings live in Spain and I chose to live here, in the United States.”
He said, “There are things that have been said recently about the people I love, that I care deeply about, and that are silly, I mean, just ridiculous.”
This isn’t the first time the “30 Rock” star has taken a break from Twitter.
