Dr. Dre He finally falls asleep in his bed tonight – he’s discharged from the hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm, but doctors are still watching him closely.
Sources close to Dre tell TMZ … he came home on Friday and while he was on his way to recovery, he still needed attention. We were told that there were medical professionals at his home who would monitor him 24/7 for the next few weeks to make sure he was fine.
Our sources tell us that Dre was in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles until Wednesday, when he was then taken to a private room in the hospital. Despite his release, we’re told that doctors still don’t know what triggered the brain hemorrhage – that’s part of the reason for home care.

Our sources told us that Dre’s doctors cautiously informed his family that a “bad outcome” was not on the horizon.
Dre is very lucky with this result … a brain aneurysm kills about half the time, and for those lucky enough to survive, about 2 in 3 suffer from some type of permanent neurological deficit.
