Golf star Justin Thomas apologizes for using “unjustified” slanders against homosexuals after losing knockout

Justin Thomas apologized Saturday afternoon for his homophobia when he missed a shot in the fourth hole of the Sentry Championship in Hawaii. Golf canal mentioned Thomas was caught by a TV microphone using vibration after he missed a 7-foot-long shot.

Thomas said: “It is unforgivable.” “First, I just apologize. I’m an adult. I’m an adult man, and there’s absolutely no reason for me to say anything like that. It’s terrible. I’m so embarrassed. It’s not who I am, it’s not the type of person I am or Anything i do.

“Unfortunately, I did and I have to admit and I deeply apologize.”

Thomas said he wasn’t aware that he had been taken and was a topic on social media until after his tour. He finished with 5 under 68 and four shots in the back from the lead.

“As he expressed after his tour, we agree that Justin’s comment was unacceptable,” the PGA tour said in a statement. He will likely be fined for his inappropriate behavior as a professional, although the PGA Tour does not reveal the punishment for the behavior.

A year ago, Scott Percy lost two endorsement deals for sharing an anti-gay meme making fun of Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, who is gay, when he announced his campaign was suspended. Percy also referred to the far-right conspiracy theory Qunun.

Patrick Reed also had to apologize in Shanghai in 2014 when he insulted him in conjunction with anti-gay slurs three times later.

Thomas, who reached number one in the world for one week last year, is the defending champion in Kapalua.

Thomas said, “It’s bad. There’s no other way to put it.” “I need to do better, I have to be better. It’s definitely a learning experience. I just … I deeply apologize to everyone and anyone I offended and I’ll be better for it.”

CBSSports.com Reports Thomas said shooting 66 points in the final round on Sunday had had no psychological precedent over the course of the last day.

“Golf was not the main thing on my mind,” he said after the tour. “Normally I was four from going back to Sunday, thinking of one thing and one thing only, and that is trying to win the golf championship. But I clearly had a lot of other things on my mind last night. I mean, I apologized yesterday. I don’t need.” To explain myself. Obviously, I screwed it up. I made a terrible, terrible judgment call. ”
