Robert Saleh’s interview ended the second round

The Jets have completed a second interview with DC Robert Saleh of The 49ers. After speaking with Saleh Almost on January 8th, Green & White hosted him on a visit at One Jets Drive.

Saleh, 41, has coached in the NFL for 16 seasons and has been in 49th place since 2017. He worked in Houston as a defense coach for quality control (2006-8) and assistant back coach (2009-10) . Saleh then took a job with the Seahawks in 2011 as a defense coach for quality control and won the Super Bowl title there. In 2014, he took over as a coach-back at Jaguars before being named 49ers DC in the year 17.

The Jets have completed interviews with eight other nominees: Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy, former Head Coach for Bengals, Marvin Lewis, Panthers’ OC Joe Brady, Bills’ OC Brian Daboll, Colts’ DC Matt Eberflus, Rams’ DC Brandon Staley, Titans’ OC Arthur Smith and Saints Secondary Instructor Aaron Glenn.

Saleh is the first candidate to complete the second interview.
