Jennifer Lopez addresses the nation in Spanish during the inauguration

Lopez started her performance with the song “This Land is Your Land”, and moved on to “America the Beautiful.” Then Lopez spoke Spanish.

And she said, “One nation under God is indivisible, and freedom and justice for all.” Part of the oath of allegiance echoed: “One nation, under God, is inseparable from freedom and justice for all.”

During the halftime show at the Super Bowl last year, both Lopez and co-star Shakira celebrated their culture of singing and dancing, and performed representations of Hispanic Americans. Lopez also directed Colombian singer J. Palvin and Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny.

Lopez’s opening performances were reminiscent of her Super Bowl show, when she slipped into the 2000 song “Let’s Get Loud” that she also sang during the break with her daughter Emme Muñiz.

Many fans are on Twitter She was proud Lopez took a moment to add her own flair and recite part of the pledge in Spanish. “We were watching the opening and JLo Speak Spanish. One student in my class says, “I know what she said !!” This is why acting is so important! ” One teacher tweeted.
